Medieval Cloak Burkhard, brown

The cloak, a staple garment throughout the Middle Ages, was worn by all walks of life. It was available with or without hood, in many different lengths, and also came in a variety of styles or pattern. It protected and kept the wearer warm in inclement weather, and whoever felt that some extra protection was needed wore an additional Gugel (a shoulder-covering hood) over the cloak.

This semi-circular cloak is made from cotton fabric and equipped with a large hood. It is fastened with a wooden button.

We would like to point out that the cotton fabric is not waterproofed. However, it can easily be treated with a water-repellent spray to resist light rain.

Please note: Delivery includes the cloak only! The other items pictured above are available separately in our online shop.
